It's Wren's eighth birthday, and she has just opened a creamy white envelope from Grandpa with ten shiny gold coins inside. Her brother Reed says spend it. Her little sister Posy says give it. Wren says save it. And Grandpa Brick — old, kind, slightly teary — holds up one wrinkled hoof and tells the three of them a secret he has never told anyone.

One by one, Grandpa introduces the grandkids to four little piggy banks lined up on his mantle: Stanley, the brick-red one who keeps you safe; Ivy, the moss-green one who grows for your future self; Grace, the small one with the hand-painted heart who quietly takes care of others; and Percy, the warm-pink one who buys you the LEGO castle, guilt-free.
Each chapter is one bedtime, one small story, one bank. By the end, three children have learned a system they will carry into adulthood — and the grown-up reading aloud has, almost by accident, learned it too.

How old does my reader need to be?
The book is written for ages 4–10 — read aloud comfortably with a 4-year-old, read independently by a strong 8-year-old, and quietly enjoyed by adults of any age. Every other page is a full-page illustration.
What ages does the four-bank system actually work for?
It works from a child's first allowance (around age 4) through a grown-up's first paycheque and beyond. The same percentages — 10/10/10/70 — scale from ten coins to ten thousand dollars without changing.
Is it religious or political?
No. It's a warm bedtime story about a grandfather who quietly tells the truth. The four-bank system itself is non-denominational, non-partisan, and works in any household.
Will there be more books in the series?
Yes — four spinoff books are planned, one per pig: Stanley's Stormy Night, Ivy's Oak Tree, Grace's Winter, and Percy's Big Day. Each volume gives one bank its own bedtime story. Notify-me subscribers hear about each one first.
